There have been research in fast breeders, thorium, advanced reactors, etc for years, and all that has happened is that nuclear is more expensive than ever! The more reactors they build the more expensive it gets. Mean while solar and wind gets cheaper and cheaper!

I believe the main issue is that it creates too much fissile material which can be mis-used to create bombs. It's a safer technology otherwise.

Where is "The dire urgency of the climate crisis and the scale of the task ahead ..." demonstrated beyond reasonable doubt? I have yet to see good evidence showing CO2 is doing anything apart from allowing green growth.

You are obviously not reading anything that is being written by the thousands of climate scientists around the world who are doing the research. This has been known for 120 years. What has to happen before you see the reality?
