Not to mention that we been "grappling" with the supposed end of the world for more than 2 decades (at least) now. Yes the climate is changing - almost certainly human activity is a part of it, but that doesn't mean the world is ending or go back to the dark ages...

If it only were about money. The climate agenda seems to be exploited to limit individual freedoms (eg mobility, nutrition, direct democracy), and at worst the climate panickers could seek to retroactively punish those whom they deem responsible for crimes against the atmosphere.
