It has a long history. When I was a child, they used hell to scare me with.
When I was a kid, they scared me by saying a new Ice Age was inevitable.
As a result of horrendous parenting she is more likely to die from a failed you-tube stunt than climate change.

When I was a kid in the early 60's the "end of the world" threat was nuclear war with the Soviet Union. Cuban missile crisis, etc.
Because that was a possible real viable visible threat to us. Climate change has been occuring on Earth for 4+ billion years. Still here... I'm indoctrinating my kids. Morons make their choices. Free Country.
Or a day off from school. I mean, who would say no to a day off from school? That's the whole point of the "school strike". Virtually no kid (except for @GretaThunberg) would engage in a "weekend strike".
