Isn’t it still fair to say that we lost 1/2 of amount of animals living just 50 years ago? I’m sure the debate of the impact can be made but that in itself is startling

Oh really? What did policymakers do in response to these predictions to prevent the predicted loss of 20% of all species? Or the predicted increase in the "precariousness" of life? Or the predicted "peak oil" in the 1990s?
