Not sure why you think a citizens assembly would support Extinction Rebellion's goal of getting to net zero emissions by 2025.
What I think they actually want is a guillotine set up in Piccadilly.
It is not working. So they are trying something different. Unfortunately, they are not addressing the root cause issue. But they are doing no harm and alerting the global population to a significant crisis that needs to be addressed.
