It's not new or amazing. It is something environment groups have been campaigning on for years here in the UK trying to persuade Government's to improve home insulation so people can afford to keep warm.

This is what I understand: "being rich is better that being poor". You eat better, enjpy better healthcare, live in less polluted neighbourhoods etc.

Those in fuel poverty can be helped in other ways. Business as usual fossil fuel use is not the right solution.

Better building standards and investment in insulation would save lives and ghg emissions. So why promote cheap gas when a better solution is available?
