Why compare solar with coal when they are in different categories. Coal is reliable a baseload electricity supplier. Solar is an unreliable intermittent supplier. Price is irrelevant
If you ignore the fact that coal, and other fossil fuels, are subsidised by the massive cost incurred by future generation, it may well be cheaper.
