Bjorn, solar & wind cheaper in new build situations in large section of globe. But we have to displace all the existing sunk investment fossil fuel plant. Not to mention the subsidies continuing to go to fossil fuels.

Also Bjorn my point is that deployment policies have proven to be incredibly effective in delivering large cost reductions that have got us to major tipping points. You ignore this with your R&D only simplistic policy prescription.
