But this is too good for Guardian, claiming it "couldn't be more wrong" 1) Argues $1.90 is silly, because people in the 1800s didn't need money "in order to live well" Really? Most people lived terrible, short lives just above subsistence minimum https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2019/jan/29/bill-gates-davos-global-poverty-infographic-neoliberal …

2) Argues that higher poverty line of $7.40 shows # people increased dramatically since 1981: things getting worse Really? The percentage has declined from 71% to 58%, which means better And the author knows this: he wrote those numbers himself last year https://www.cgdev.org/blog/12-things-we-can-agree-about-global-poverty …pic.twitter.com/bCLL3SSH2L

So what's poverty in Bangladesh compared to poverty in say, Sweden or Canada? Can I live a healthy and educated life in those countries if I'm just above their poverty line? Your claim is nothing more than the globalist, corporate BS we've been force fed for 30 years.

200 yeas ago your life would a lot worse in all those countries.. that Sweden has progressed faster is not bad.
