I did not tell the world’s poor to “grow up.” Those are important things I do not discount. Climate change affects the world’s poor disproportionately and education is the best way out of poverty.
You said, if they were just climate educated, they would put climate action on top. That is saying the poor don't know and/or understand what matters most to themselves

I do not come from money and find it hard to live comfortably, but was able to learn about climate change and its effects on communities in school. I am convinced it is important for ALL people to understand. How we educate is another story altogether.

That is the most absurd thing I've read today. The suggestion that "find[ing] it hard to live comfortably" in the industrialized West equates in any way to the struggles of people in undeveloped countries is ridiculous. They don't disagree with your priorities out of ignorance.
