Maybe not, as the projections have been way to high before. Things like particulates are notoriously hard to model, and events throwing particles into the air are relatively common but random. Now imagine that we screw up the economy, and suddenly an ice age appears.

Another issue may be leaded gasoline, lead is a neurotoxin, and consider dangerous, but, we are seeing student intelligence tests results decrease from the generation that had full on lead exposures. But I think leaded gasoline would be better with regard to CO2
