This assumes that a) the models are correct and CO2 is the driver of increased global average temperature; b) elimination of fossil fuel use will affect CO2 enough to change the projections; and c) the costs of the change will be worth the benefits.

This is what I find most difficult to comprehend. Either Govts. just plain don't believe it or they are understandably too afraid to even try to carry out the necessary steps. My view is that the data will make this problem go away over the next decade

Or simply embrace the inevitability. If it js man made then make human take the responsibility and reduce breeding.
