How much of Africa goes without reliable electricity? Electricity along with fossil fuel is the modern miracle that lifted a vast majority of us out of poverty in the last 150 years.

Throwing money and goods at portions of Africa under tyrannical leaders is not wise. The money and goods will be used to leverage their power over 'their' people.

Looks like this will be a tough sell. The people of African nations need to take control of their governments, throw out their kleptocrat leaders, then we will consider offering aid. Till then, it’s a fools errand.
