The fallacy of graph is that is assumes environmental degradation is linear. It does not account for technological advancements which are always improving efficiencies pushing the curve down. Like peak oil theory which time and time again shown to be false. #science
It's pretty obvious at very basic levels: you get better sport fishing opportunities on rich countries' shores than on (heavily populated) poor ones because the former have stopped depending on local fisheries to survive. Poverty wreaks havoc on the environment
