Even if the probability of a fire were constant, would you not see the same downwards trend? If a forest burns down this year, it cannot burn down again next year -- nothing left to burn down.

@simas_kucinskas thank you! We need to go back to basics and explain basic statistics to people who put ideology ahead of basic facts. if a forest burns, it will unlikely be able to burn again. The point is that there is a causal link between climate change and prob of a fire. - Näytä vastaukset

Why the decrease? Is it because more resources are being invested in fire prevention and fire fighting? Even with a lower area burnt, is housing sprawl leading to more trauma and loss?
