If you don't like your name or religion... change it, if you don't like the ear piercing stop wearing earrings and it closes up. Male circumcision has no downside really, FGM we fight against. It's disingenuous to compare any of these with tribal marks.
On this point I disagree with you boss. There is a lot of things we do not sign up for but meet and sometimes take it that way. Our names Our religion Circumcision Body Piercing (particularly for the women) Etc... This one, being African, is wrong?https://twitter.com/DoubleEph/status/1056810275154939904 …

What is the downside, the health hazard of Tribal Marks?
-
Is it all about health hazards? We are talking about permanent facial mutilation here, the recipients had no choice in the matter and not easily or cheaply reversed so what's your point?? Plus if you don't have them and/or don't intend to give them to your kids.. dont advocate
-
Your last sentence is not too cool Bro. I'm not a member of the Shiites, but I can advocate, neither am I a Pakistan, but I can advocate for them. Secondly, I'm glad you agree that there is no health hazard involved so what exactly is the problem?
-
Again with the false equivalence, one would think that there's a bunch of people demanding the right to give themselves or others tribal marks. Facial mutilation, is exactly what it is.. mutilation. The fact that the recipient has no say in the matter is the point you miss.
-
The ambiguity of the grammar used to coat 'tribal marks' would not make it devilish, evil, or wrong. A child has no say in many matters, this why there is 'custody' and a 'custodian'. Provided the custodian doesn't harm the child, s/he is go to go as in piercing & circumcision.
-
I've already addressed the issues of piercings and circumcision so I wonder why you bring them up again. IF yours ears were pierced as a baby and you don't like it, stop wearing earrings and it closes. Simple. Cheers.
-
But then, if we want to, we can create creams or ointments that can help blur/heal/unmark tribal marks. In the nearest future.

If you feel tribal marks have any use today, go ahead. This is nothing to do with African. Africans can look at something they do themselves and decide to stop it.
-
Hmm... truly you have a valid point this time, but the narrative of "consent" didn't go down well. Cheers.
