Looks like Ethereum may soon effectively have a 1MB blocksize limit!
This is part of the process to lower the gas cost of data by around 5 times, to make rollups cheaper

Some think layer 2 fees on ETH are too high, because each byte of data a rollup uses cost 16 gas. To lower fees, the gas cost could be reduced to 3. This should be a large benefit, with 5x lower fees. However, in the long term, this may mean blocksize is a new network constraint

Not sure, but it's definitely not going to significantly increase further from here, because we're already basically at the gas limit.

Gas keep me free investing because I I should not be charged more that I am investing or take most of my investments. More people would invest if it was reasonable
