The next day, a member of his Arcdiocese, Rep Joaquin Castro tweeted out the names/businesses of his own constituents who he disagrees w/politically. What Archbishop Chaput is saying is that we cannot disregard any of the 10 Commandments given us by our Creator and expect we will nevertheless be healthy and whole, individually or as a society. Bad choices have bad consequences.
Placing God in the center of our society and the center of our lives is the only, and I repeat the ONLY, way of turning these scenarios around. The United States Bishops can no longer be sheepish! They can no longer be secular!
Agree 100% except with the Death Penalty. DP is not #revenge at all but justice for vile, heinous crime committed. Feds put restrictions on death penalty 20 yrs ago; violence

I lived in England in the 80’s. There were several incidents where the IRA would bomb bandstands and kill soldiers. Libya put a bomb on an airplane over Scotland. You can ban guns but an unstable person will find something else to use.
They have used cars and trucks to kill lots of people in Europe. And we are continuously seeing murders and injuries by guns in Chicago every week.
