I just got off the phone with @Matsui4Congress's office, and confirmed that while she is calling for an investigation, she DOES NOT SUPPORT ABOLISHING ICE. She is up for re-election this year, but her challenger is awful. So what should folks in Sacramento even do?

I think the thing that bothers me the most is that
@DorisMatsui went down to the ICE detention centers a while ago, and saw the facilities first hand, and witnessed the separation of children from their parents and STILL cannot condemn the agency and call to dismantle ICE.1 reply 0 retweets 1 likeShow this thread -
I can't vote against
@DorisMatsui/@Matsui4Congress because her challenger@BishForCongress is way way worse. But I also can't vote for Doris because calling for an investigation isn't enough. I feel a lot of guilt and regret that I didn't go hard for@BAEforChange's primary run2 replies 0 retweets 2 likesShow this thread -

What's worse? I oppose building in Natomas encroaching on wetlands, destroying precious farmland. I support opportunity zones that rebuild urban areas bring in job's & help preserve our community, affordable housing. I support school choice that gives everyone equal education.

Yes, but do you support abolishing ICE? And really it's not just ICE. It's also UBI, Green New Deal + thorium nuclear, canceling student debt, etc. What are you going to do to address homelessness? And how "school choice" is a tool for segregation?

School choice gives parents the power to choose where kids go to school. Segregation is forcing kids to stay in failing school because of your address.

And what does that choice mean for every student who's family doesn't have the means to change school? How does that affect the funding of public schools? And how does that correlate (or not) to race, class, and nationality?

I love our discussion. My challenge to you is to have it with Doris. Even if we don't agree on every issue I will listen & respond. I am running because she didn't respond to my question about our contaminated water that I believe contributed to my cancer.

Does she call back? She didn't even send me a form letter or email. Have a great day
