And the #PROAct will be even worse for marginalized groups in hundreds of industries as it will apply the worst part of CA #AB5, the wildly outdated, draconian ABC Test, at a national level. It's why freelancers are for using the IRS standard instead. #IRSnotABChttps://twitter.com/cafwu/status/1288561471928938499 …

Fortunately New Jersey struck it down before COVID.

Well, it struck down the version of it for NJ. The PRO Act as part of a federal bill is currently sitting in the Senate.

From what I understand it is not dead in New Jersey, however it was shelved for a while until they can see how to implement it without the disaster results that are happening in California so good on them

What happened in New Jersey is that the original bill, S4204, died at the end of the lame-duck session in January. A new (identical) version, S863, was immediately introduced for the current session, but so far it's just sitting there, not attempting to move forward in committee.

Exactly. But those are state level bills while the national PRO Act has passed the House and is sitting in the Senate.

And the four brave House Democrats who dared to vote against
#PROAct -because even they could see how unfair it is -- have already been ostracized and defunded by Richard Trumka and his minions, for not kowtowing to Big#labor#NOPROAct#RepealAb5#IRSnotABC#MyLaborMyChoice1 reply 2 retweets 5 likes -

I think the bill is now dead in Congress, until Congress 117 starts up... Then it will be quickly re-introduced provided that both chambers are blue – and then Lord help us all

@BishForCongress Can you shed any light on the traction of#PROAct ?1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes
The intent is to control labor. In California it was used to stop Uber & Lyft from taking over the (Unions) Cab companies. It is about forcing people into Unions under the control of centralized government control. We should be a right to work Nation!

Yet you support a president who has run the economy, the GDP, employment rates, Wall Street into the ground through his gross negligence and incompetence.
