  2. Popular historian & blogger Jassim Hussain has been released from detention today. On Jan 28 he was summoned to the Public Prosecutor's Office on charges of 'publishing false information'. It is unclear whether the charges have now been dropped.

    The shocking abuse Sayed Kadhem suffered was condemned by 4 UN experts in September 2019. However, medical negligence continues across 's prisons, despite widespread outrage from the international community.

    Despite pleas from family members, prison authorities failed to take Sayed Kadhem to hospital for months before he was finally diagnosed with a brain tumour in June 2018. He was left blind by the operation to remove the tumour and lived his final months in darkness.

    family of Elyas Almula received a phone call from Alwesta police station to take him. He is been release. He was convicted to 15 years over political charges. Served 8 years. He suffered from systematic denial of medical treatment & was diagnosed with Cancer.
