"Cosmarium is one of the amazing algae. They are just like tiny emeralds of the sea. Around 0.05 mm in size so hidden to the naked eye and only to be revealed and appreciated through a microscope.

Here is a Tardigrade with a cuticle full of eggs. The old skin is shed, and provides a cover for these water bear eggs. A curious single cell ciliate hovers at left, full of ingested algae.

  15. Look carefully, can you see bacteria? Unfortunately I found a deceased rotifer but what's amazing about this shot is how bacteria can be seen gathering, crazily starting to decompose and consume nutrients from the body. 🐜 400x, BF, 1xspeed.

  16. Here is a single cell ciliate in the genus Frontonia. It’s multicolored from all of the food it has ingested. Numerous cells of algae and Cyanobacteria of various shapes. I am amazed by the diversity within a single cell- How many species can you spot inside?
