No romance, always online. Not everyone has friends to play with or a good internet connection... disappointed.

Careful, I got attacked on YouTube for saying that because apparently "good internet is everywhere"

Well those people would be in for a bloody culture shock if they ever had to live in rural scotland! Online games are a no go for me 95% of the time

Micro transactions and loot boxes of course. Courtesy of EA.
-
Oh yes, by your reply I can tell that you are very informed about Anthem and aren't making any harsh, false assumptions at all.
-
You won't win with people like that. It's best to just pretend like they don't exist. This person will not likely respond or do research after your message, only just assume you are some blind fan who thinks EA and Bioware can't do anything wrong.
-
Yeah, you're right. And it's always made me laugh when people do so, as I know of their previous games and how good they are, but have yet to play one. So I'm far from an EA/BioWare fanboy.

People not worrying about always online for a game that can be played solo completely. When you find in some years that you bought a game that you can't play anymore because the servers have been shut down you will cry. Anthem is a no buy for me like The Division or The Crew.
-
And the problem is not only the future. When the servers are down you can't play not even solo. If there's a DDoS attack you can't play neither. If ther servers are saturated because too many users are online... Well, you get the idea. But hey, it's alright, no problem at all.
-
In the future they can disable that option and go p2p. You'd complain about that to though right? Get out a here.
-
The game is server dependant and by no means EA will change the system, they will release Anthem 2/3 and bury the old one, period. A game that can be played solo with a story must have an offline and whoever wants to play online they can connect. Now you buy a future paperweight.
-
If you don't like the way they do things don't buy it. You'll not be missed.
-
Venom Snake makes some very good points in regards to accessibility. They could have a online mode in which they store your save on the servers for game integrity sake and a offline mode. That would satisfy the needs of both types players.
-
The game has an ever changing world. That supposedly will have permanent changes. You can't do that unless it's always online. It opens up a ton of possibilities. That offline games simply can't do.
-
If the dynamic nature of the always online mode cannot be replicated offline there can still exist a offline mode but it will just be static. That way people that are not fortunate enough to have reliable internet can still play and enjoy the game and EA won't lose those sales.
