My artist friends - I'm super nervous about inking Vax. I'm also mostly a traditional artist who has never delved into digital modes of sketching, inking, or painting. Any advice? I used to ink sketches all the time but it's been a while.

*the reason I'm nervous is because I don't want to screw up a jawline here, an ear tip there, or what have you. I can't erase ink.

Ink a warm up first. It gets rid of the shakes. I get scared before every single piece I lay ink down on. Ink something easy so you can loosen up your wrist. Warm up until you feel the fear let go. Good luck!

I have no idea why I didn't think of this the first time. Do you just scan and make a copy?

I generally scan pencils anyway though. Juuuuust in case I do mangle an original I always know there's a back up. I also like having a pencil scan in case I get too far into the inks and forget the "character" of the original.

This is exceptionally helpful. I was also looking ahead to colors and mulling over how to approach that.

I work traditional and I watercolor my stuff now. Used to use copics. But if you're wanting to color digitally the best comics colorists in the business are on Twitter. @TBonvillain is my favorite. She might be willing to steer you in the right direction.
