I stopped doing it after a year and a half. Luckily as a concept artist I'm not at the mercy of broken builds and such, but my rule was if it's not my own fault that I'm behind then I'm going home at 6. :P
Oh, no as a freelancer I charge for the time I work. But at LH, even as a contractor with no holidays or benefits you were still pretty much relied on to do overtime and crunch for free.
