Did you know that all the statues of women in Central Park are fictional characters?
That’s about to change.
For the 1st time in the park’s 167-year history, real women will be represented in the Women’s Rights Pioneers Monument, to be unveiled 8/26.

We need more of this. I can't believe that prior to a certain year all things were thought of, created by and theorized over only by men. Women have always had a roll, in the background, it's about time we shown a light on these unsung heroes.
