So like religious "Healthshare" groups. The big problem with them is that they discriminate against smokers, people with preexisting conditions and people with alternate lifestyles.

Obviously, the preference would be a government-sponsored single-pay system open to all. I just hope if the co-op alternative is adopted, it is not nibbled at by lawmakers at the behest of corporate money. Unfortunately, I find it difficult to be optimistic.
