Strongly disagree. I love that my hometown Orioles make it extremely tough to have a number retired. It makes it a far more prestigious achievement. Team greats belong in the team HOF. Number retiring shouldn’t just be a publicity stunt. Reminds me of Boggs in Tampa.

Glad the Twins didn't wait to retire Tony Oliva's number 6. It is about the team's legacy. The Hall should have zero impact on how a franchise should honor a former player or coach. Tony O should be in the hall. Twins honored him anyway. Dodgers are messing up.

He had a bigger impact. Off the field a big part of the Chavez ravine community and Latino community did not like the dodgers one bit. Fernando helped a lot in changing this for many new fans.
