The 1970s "Oil Crisis" was later found to be completely artificial. It was a con. It cost a fortune to restart a refinery so in CA they would keep the system going and dump the gasoline in the desert. Teamsters knew and members would be alerted where to fill up for free.

Years ago there was a 'sugar shortage'. Prices were going way up. People ran out and bought it trying to beat the price hikes. I knew someone who grabbed up 10 bags. Before long the "shortage" ended, shelves were once again filled but the prices didn't come back down. 🤔🤔🤔
