A friend writes to point out that many evangelicals are African-American, and that while polls often break out "White Evangelicals," this one doesn't seem to. Still, back of the envelope calculations suggest that 30% or more of White Evangelicals would approve of removal.

The problem is a narrow segment of Christianity: white Evangelicals. Their megachurch movement was hijacked by Paul Weyrich, Pat Robertson, Pat Buchanan, Jerry Falwell & Newt Gingrich with a promise to ban abortions. That was 35 years ago. They sold GOP voters a pipe dream. 1/pic.twitter.com/L45wQk20L5

If a Boomer ever gets offended at "ok Boomer", show them this poll.

Bear in mind that “the Baby Boom” phenomenon spanned more than a decade (1948–1964). I was born in ‘58. By ‘64 all the ‘48s I knew were midway thru high school. In my eyes, they were adults. We had nothing in common except the Beatles and the Batman TV series.

As a Boomer, I am disappointed in these stats. My dad is still alive, so I wonder how many people older than Boomers were in these stats. Yet, in the 1990's it appeared to me that Boomers were abandoning what they had originally stood for in the '60's & 70's. I'm for impeachment

Couldn’t agree more as a boomer myself. Disheartening to see those stats.
