Just to be clear many of us are cheered by the departure of Tillerson and now Mattis. Neither could ever seem to grasp that Trump won the presidency nor the dangers of the swamp.

As you said Bill, it did not take long for the MAGA crowd to turn on Gen. Mattis. Zero honor, the lot of them.

It’s not about being PC, it’s about using a word that is offensive to an entire group of people. I don’t think anyone is accusing him of being derogatory, just trying to educate someone who doesn’t know.

He’s right that Tillerson & Mattis didn’t grasp the chaotic & depraved nature of a Trump administration when they agreed to serve nor the dangers of the Trump swamp. All grifters think alike & since Tillerson, Mattis or even Sessions aren’t grifters, they never stood a chance.

Mr. Kristol, I really appreciate your perspective and everything you are doing to report on the conservative point of view. It is in this vein of respect that I ask you not to use the word “midget.” To people with dwarfism, it is considered extremely offensive.

Many older people don't know it's derogatory. My dad didn't even know 'hare lip' is offensive. He even thought it was 'hair lip,' and he's a really smart guy. I guess we're all guilty of ignorance in one way or another.

Thank you. That was exactly my point. I wasn’t intending to criticize, but to inform. Most people don’t realize that it is offensive.

I get your point but this is insulting to little people, both in the concept and in the use of the derogatory word. They wouldn’t take kindly to being compared to Schlapp.

It’s not about being PC, it’s not about being soft, it’s about decency, treating others with respect and dignity. As a parent of a child with dwarfism, use of the M word is demeaning and harkens to an age when little people were treated as inferior. With respect, please correct.

I believe Bill's analogy referred to people with "midget" minds and character. He wasn't referring to the group in terms of their physical characteristics.
