Shouldn’t an important U.S. foreign policy goal of the next couple of decades be regime change in China?https://twitter.com/NAChristakis/status/1066023438563844096 …

So dystopian and authoritarian as to defy belief: China will judge each of its 1.3 billion people based on their social behavior & adopt a lifelong points program that assigns personalized ratings by 2021. NO. We need to focus on our own regime change first.

That would require leadership that holds a vision for what the world should become and how the US should lead. I don’t believe the American people have an appetite for US global leadership any longer

Time for Americans who feel that way and REJECT the notion that the country needs to be a superpower/an empire to be prosperous, safe, and respected to stand up and make yourselves heard loud and clear!

No. Regime change in China could easily (1) result in hundreds of millions of deaths and (2) lead to something worse (see eg Iraq). The goal might reasonably be gradual evolution of the Chinese regime towards something more open, tolerant, peaceful and resilient

"...regime change in China?" The US truly has a piss-poor record in the category of regime change. Let's clean our own house first. 2018 midterms were a good start.
