Why does it have to be "women of color," all women should be encouraged to "enter tech."
-
Women of colour are more marginalised in Tech. The current work looking to implement diversity in the Tech industry only focuses on recruiting more white women.
-
I doubt that, women in general have not been encouraged to participate in STEM related studies like their male counterparts. All women deserve equal opportunities regardless of "color."
-
There’s a great distinction between studying a STEM subject and then being given the opportunity to step foot in the industry. Coloured women face 2 great barriers and the stats speaks for itself.
-
Yes exactly Sara. Women of color experience more racial & gender harassment (USA today article had proof of this) and often harder for them to find mentors too.
-
Not necessarily exclusive to race. I certainly experienced my share of sexual harassment and discrimination as a Caucasian woman in a man's world.
-
Women of colour also face sexual harassment in many instances on top of racial discrimination. There is no denying this Mary.
-
Not denying it -- we are all part of the same sisterhood.

True sir. We also need to encourage
#tech#ladies, those in#coworking#space and#incubation#hubs in#Africa eg#Imo State#Nigeria to do awareness in#girls schools to encourage those looking to go into tech. My humble suggestionThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Its simple. More men choose to enter the tech industry than woman.
-
I’m hoping he’s meaning to address that and say “how can we get more women in tech” instead of “regardless of qualifications we need diversity” which obviously would hurt them. Hire the most qualified regardless of gender or race.
-
Then again Microsoft is a provide company I have no stake in so why should I care ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I was watching an interview with doctor Jordan Peterson where he mention the studies that show that this gap of women is tech is a matter of natural gender preferences. What is your point of view about this now very controversial issue?https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3149680/ …

Would
to
what MG has to say on the #topless debate. IMO,
won’t have = until we can go shirtless where
can without having society call us sluts/whores. Women subjected to the oppression of the male gaze. Can there be = in the workplace when there is no = in the
of men? Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
