The mayor of Hamilton and my 6 year old were almost hit on live TV. The only way to understand what it’s like for a kid to bike to school, is to do it with them.

This isn't "safety first." LA's attempt at is somehow translating to zero perceived inconvenience to driving

“Pedestrian deaths are reported as isolated incidents with no human repercussions and no link to larger systemic health and safety issues, and drivers are nearly always rhetorically and linguistically absolved from blame,”

Theory: That local media reports drivers on freeways who get out of their cars as "pedestrians" contributes to anti-walking/victim-blaming culture

Can we boycott Mercedes & BMW drivers while we're at it since they kill more Angelenos than guns do?

Unclear why Pasadena CM Gene Masuda has been pushing this attack on a common sense plan to reduce speeding on a residential street

What about those who are killed and wounded on the streets of Los Angeles, where traffic deaths outnumber gun deaths? It's one thing to take a stand on an issue outside the domain of your office; another to fail to take action on something you directly control.

Coincidentally, fewer people have been killed by flamethrowers in the U.S. than Angelenos killed by cars on Temple St. in the last 8 years

Does or any other transit body in L.A. even install new bike lanes anymore? Apart from the Verdugo lanes extension in Burbank, I feel like the city has forgotten about bike infrastructure.

We now have three different takes on the car’s speed: Tempe PD originally said 40 mph. Then Tempe PD said 38 in a 35. Now NYT says 40 in a 45. Is this normal for a crash where the data should be able to tell us exactly how fast the car was and should have been going?

If you're OK w/ self-driving cars that don't stop for "jaywalkers" then you're OK w/ self-driving cars that don't stop for kids & pets who don't know the law
