Bike Sonoma

1. Hold the line and vote “No” in November on the sales tax extension measure... @GoSCTA can’t fight climate change by continuing to invest the majority of its funds in automobile infrastructure

2. Demand more Class 4 cycle tracks on all high volume routes where collisions with cyclist have occurred

3. Use temporary “Quick build” techniques to create safer bike/pet routes, changing travel behavior inexpensively in weeks, not years

4. Take a free online class from @BikeSonoma to improve your cycling awareness and safety skills

5. Commit to walk or use a bike to do most (if not all) of your local daily trips <3 miles. You’ll be happier and your body will thank you.

6. Zoom in to your City Council or @CountyofSonoma Board of Supervisors meeting and let them know “Paint is NOT infrastructure” and you won’t support a transportation sales tax extension until they demonstrate they know how to use EXISTING funds to make biking safer.

7. Pull out your local Bike/Ped plan and identify the top three most important routes where less car parking would lead to fewer collisions and fatalities

8. Support your local @BikeSonoma Coalition, local bike shop, and bike-friendly local leaders... and then go for a ride, you’ve earned it!
