...I feel like so many of our problems would be solved if folks from both sides of the aisle had experience trying to get a program to run at 3 AM, or reading through sixty papers to find the one equation they need, etc
100% agree. And with more of us in office we can make sure that kids have experience coding, etc... It changes the way you approach a problem

Right? Even for those fields that won't require python or java or even matlab, it's a fantastic introduction to problem-solving oriented thinking. In other words, exactly the type of thing our leaders should be exposed to!
