And I see people seeming to expect different results. I mean, I want all kids back in school too, but, I think we’ve got enough examples that it won’t work too well this year.

Problem is that scientists don't want to do political crap, they want to do science - which is a fulltime gig. What we really need is more of those people protesting in the street to get into politics. Need more people IN government demanding for government represent the people.

That’s partially true. But this cycle alone there were 3 neuroscientists across the country who ran for the US House (2) and US Senate (1). None got through the primary due, at least in part, to a lack of support from the DNC. We have scientists running. We need to support them.
