Yeah, Hillary was supposed 2 make Texas close in 16. Trump beat her by 11 points. Beto had $$, popularity, off-presidential year when the party out of power has an.advantage, & he was running against a not wildly popular candidate in Cruz, Beto lost. Right, Texas is a swing state

Beto came pretty damn close and helped flip a number of congressional and state house seats in a non-presidential year, when Republicans usually have an advantage. But if you’re so sure that it’s reliably red, I assume you’ll be staying home instead of wasting your time voting?

Beto did come close. As we say in the sports field, coming in 2nd means you're the 1st loser. And I will be voting, it's what will help keep Texas red. As to Texas and Beto, it seems he didnt think enough of flipping it to run against Cornyn. Why not ask HIM if HE intends 2 vote

That’s a fair point about Beto not running against Cornyn. That said, the numbers look different now than they did when he was deciding what to run for this cycle. Kind of like how everyone though George HW Bush was unbeatable in 1992 and then his approval crashed in the fall.

Could be. After tomorrow we'll know who Cornyn's opposition will be. My money is on MJ Hegar. But in November, I'm going with Cornyn. Trump's coattails, you know.

Yep, tomorrow will clear some things up.
