There are 29 million people in TX. If 70% ultimately get infected (herd immunity w/o vaccine), that’s 20.3 million infections. If 1.29% of those die, that’s 262,000 dead Texans.

It is a little worse than that even. A study in Spain says that those developing immunity is around ~6% that means that most don’t develop a resistance and can catch it again and again. Making herd immunity damn near impossible if their findings are correct.
