Beats me. Imagine if Trump and the Republicans had really met the crisis head on. Put into place appropriate restrictions, testing, and contact tracing. Dems may not have liked them, but they could at least say, you know what they did the right thing and I respect that.

It is a little worse than that even. A study in Spain says that those developing immunity is around ~6% that means that most don’t develop a resistance and can catch it again and again. Making herd immunity damn near impossible if their findings are correct.
