One could go further, talk about failure of K-12 curriculum to address difference between correlation and causality, arguments for/against using animals in studies, and other concepts in ways that make sense in everyday life 4 all students, including those not headed for college

I taught in public schools for 6 yrs, helped out in a basic science class for 9th graders with poor academic records/mainstreamed special ed kids where curriculum was geology. Not really what they needed
