The Texas Railroad Commission, which regulates oil and gas, have allowed excessive exemptions for venting and flaring of natural gas. This is wasting enough gas “to power every home in the state” and further exacerbating climate change. @ChrystaForTexas is fighting to fix this.https://twitter.com/KHayhoe/status/1254817267398987781 …

We already knew there was enough natural gas being vented in west Texas to power every home in the state, all 7M of them, but this new study confirms it (again). https://www.cbsnews.com/news/methane-permian-basin-oil-gas-climate-change/ …

They do not have to flare. There are other options, like onsite power generation.

The waste I’m hearing coming from some states is deplorable . Wether it’s potatoes or oil & gas. Helping people in time of need . Sadly isn’t a priority for republicans . #BeBetter

It’s ridiculous. If you’re out in west Texas at night you can see the flames burning for miles.

I live in West Texas and from my house I see four vents going night and day and I pass about 7 of them on my way to work. It's horrible. The oil field has ruined everything here and driven up the cost of living to outrageous rates
