To the restaurants down the street who are re-opening and allowing patrons to cram together, know that I will never come to your restaurant again. It is clear that you do not value your customers and show poor judgement when it comes to their safety.

We’re “only” losing that many people of social distancing and stay at home orders. Look at states that haven’t implemented them. They are doing worse by the day.

With all due respect Dr Biggan how many people die in road accidents? We still have to drive. People with chronic conditions cannot get treatments currently, there’s also fear which reduces compliance even when procedures start again. We can’t keep everything closed forever.

Really? I’m high risk, I have a heart condition. I know that I will have to continue to quarantine but I don’t expect others to lose everything because I have to stay at home.

A couple of things should be clarified. Everything is not shit down. Restaurants in TX can serve food and alcohol (this was done to help them) for take away. As far as the car analogy goes, 39,000 Americans are killed in car crashes each year. COVID has already killed 54,000.

Also, we spend a tremendous amount of time and money making car travel as safe as possible. That’s what we want here. Let the restaurants sell to-go food and drinks so they can stay afloat, but don’t let people pack together like sardines. That way, people like you are safer.
