Of more concern are those that were in the middle of time sensitive research/experiments.
I could see this derailing a lot of theses and dissertations.

What is your experience? Some of my friends still have labs doing research and others shutdown.

When I was in the lab, most of my work involved interventions with older adults. There’s no way to keep collecting data in that group. If this had happened during my dissertation, it would have cost me a semester at minimum unless I could use previously collected data.
