While all MDs dont show it, they have more knowledge, a larger scope of practice, are better equipped & a R A separate profession, you cant overlap them. As a Reg Nurse BSc myself, if a nurse wants to be a doctor go back & get your medical degree. Otherwise stay in your lane.
I’m not talking about BSNs. I’m talking about MSNs and DNPs. They can fill in the current gaps that exist in our healthcare system.
Im a Nurse Practitioner BSc. Of course, Our scope of practice is broader and we can fill in, its when the line is crossed . Still two different professions.
Agreed that they are separate professions. But based on the research, we are not utilizing allied healthcare professionals as fully as we could be. That’s what I am advocating for. Fully using our resources.
