Gov Abbott is right, we need PPE tomorrow, not July. The federal government needs to step up and make this happen. We can’t afford to wait.https://twitter.com/JasonWhitely/status/1241828482033778690 …

#NOW: Texas Governor @GregAbbott_TX urging the federal government to increase production of PPE (personal protective equipment) for healthcare workers. "There are delivery dates in July. That's not going to work," he said. "We need it tomorrow."

They have a vast procurement infrastructure w/ existing contracts in the defense logistics agency which DJT is, apparently, not leveraging.

In times of crisis, some men will step up, and lead, others will wait and fail. Our Governors must act, on behalf of America, if our POTUS seems frozen by the crisis, it is bc he is. Failure to act is a crime, we have lost so many lives, and will lose so many more, bc of it.

Maybe @realDonaldTrump will act now that a red state is asking.

I read somewhere that tRump is going to use the Defence Production Act as a bargaining chip to get money from Congress to save his hotels. That sounds about right from tRump.

Today? It was needed yesterday, days ago, weeks ago. The light at the end of the tunnel was a train folks. Didn't you hear it coming?
