Social isolation is related to decreased self-care and even reduced immune system response. In other words, when people get lonely they don’t take care of themselves as well as they normally would and if they get sick, their immune systems are less able to fight the infection.

This is even more the case of older adults. This group is already the most vulnerable to
#COVID19. If their immune systems drop down and they aren’t taking good care of themselves, more people will get sick and die.Show this thread -
This is all to say call, text, FaceTime, sing to each other from your balcony, etc... your friends, family, and neighbors. Not only do they need it during this pandemic, but so do you. And let’s face it, you’re going to run out of shows to binge watch pretty quickly.
