If this has taught voters with kids one thing, it’s that teachers have a bigger job than they thought.

There is no bigger job than educating our future generation. Non of us get to our "big jobs" without a teacher that helped us along the way.

No one goes anywhere fast with a broken car. No one ever talks about we mechanics. We make your broken stuff work. There are plenty of jobs just as big.

Who taught the mechanic how to fix the cars? Not all teachers work in schools. The point is all people have to be taught how to do their job.

You can thank a teacher for being able to communicate your opinion. Have a good one.

Still not a job that has importance over all others.

Nobody said it was more important than all others. I’m fine with paying other professions more. The point was simply that teachers are generally underpaid and the current situation might remind people about that. Talking about issues for one group doesn’t take away from another.

This person did: https://twitter.com/Jennie_SC/status/1239917071678484480?s=19 … That's who is was discussing it with. Talking about one or two groups all the time casts a shadow over the hundreds of positions that are underpaid. But politicians like pandering to teachers.

Let me explain why I disagree with this person's point of view. I don't want a rational thought to get lost in argument here. Our nation's biggest job is maintenance of infrastructure and the cleaning of our landfills and waterways. The most important jobs are ones that keep...

...keep us fed and safe. That's survival management. Most everything else just props up a standard of living. Which is nice of course. It is rational to say that a school teacher is neither the biggest or most important job.
