they dismiss the need outright, despite what the evidence says. I am horrified and don’t think this is being adequately addressed at all. Even though I have a background in virology, nothing I say can convince my parents because of this. Politicians need to listen to scientists
Not only do politicians need to listen to scientists, we need politicians who are scientists. I’ve talked to a lot of politicians and when I get a little sciency, their eyes glaze over. They just don’t have the background.
