One of my wife’s 6th grade students didn’t eat lunch today because there was an issue with their account and they didn’t want to be seen eating the cheese sandwich that is given to students without funds in their lunch account. This is the America we live in.

It’s all squared away now, but if there is a school near you, they could probably use some help for some of their kids. Then help elect politicians who will fix this.

I live in a state where we have free breakfast and lunch programs for our students.. Massachusetts provides over 500,000 kids will meals a year. It’s probably why we are ranked #1 in education.

I remember putting a toaster in my classroom and making peanut butter toast for 15 year olds WHILE teaching them Shakespeare. One kid said “I want to listen but I’m just too hungry!”
